EL IDIOMA EN LOS NIÑOS

Hace unos días un estudio realizado por psicólogos británicos revelaba que aquellos niños que eran bilingües antes de los cinco años tenían mayor tendencia a la tartamudez que los que aprendían un segundo idioma a partir de esa edad. La recomendación de los especialistas era que los niños aprendieran la segunda lengua antes que la lengua madre. Aunque suene raro, parece que de esa forma los niños aprenden los dos idiomas más eficazmente.

Si hacemos caso a los investigadores ingleses, entonces tendremos que ponernos a enseñar a nuestro niños otro idioma. Y en los tiempos que corren, por el motivo que fuera, aprender inglés se ha convertido en una necesidad, por lo que enseñarle el idioma a los niños desde pequeños parece ser buena idea.

El problema es que enseñarles inglés desde pequeños no resulta tan fácil. Ya por impedimentos económicos, o por falta de tiempo, lo cierto es que la tarea de inculcarles otra lengua se hace a veces cuesta arriba. Una buena forma es, si nosotros sabemos el idioma, ir enseñándoles de a poco.

Para ello encontrÉ un curso corto pero bastante completo para enseñar inglés a los niños. Se trata de un curso gratuito de mailxmail.com, página muy completa de idiomas que ya hemos cubierto en otras entradas, y que ayuda a los padres a que puedan enseñar inglés a sus hijos en forma sencilla y -por qué no- divertida.

El pequeño curso consta de 7 lecciones, en las que se incluyen los colores, los pronombres personales y el verbo "to be" (ser o estar), los verbos have (tener, haber) y do (hacer), los números, los días de la semana, meses y estaciones, la casa, la familia y los animales y los saludos.

Se trata de un curso simple pero que cubre algunas cuestiones básicas que los padres pueden conversar con sus hijos en forma amena y así también pasar un buen momento juntos.

Forming Comparative and Superlative Adjectives

 One-syllable adjectives.

Two-syllable adjectives. 

With most two-syllable adjectives, you form the comparative with more and the superlative with most.

If the two-syllable adjectives ends with –y, change the y to i and add –er for the comparative form.

For the superlative form change the y to i and add –est.
